The first step of any customer cooperation is inquiry. Of course, hardware stamping products are no exception. A good quotation is often half the success. But now the vast majority of metal stamping parts salesmen or bosses still know only a little about how to provide good quotations. Today, I analyzed several problems that should be paid attention to in the quotation of metal stamping parts.

1、 Ask the customer for details before quoting.

Now most of the salesmen, after receiving the inquiry from the customer, look at the drawings and make a hasty quotation. Finally, many inquiries are like a stone sinking into the sea without follow-up information. Some of these are price factors, while others are too hasty and not rigorous, leaving the impression that your company is not standardized and informal. Under normal circumstances, real customers will ask your company's address, production capacity and other questions in advance, and some will also ask whether you have processed similar metal stamping parts.

Some purchasers and technicians are not in the same department, so after you see the drawings of metal stamping parts, you must carefully review them to see if there are any problems ignored by the drawing designers. If there are problems, you must ask the customer before the quotation. If you ask after the quotation, the customer will feel that you are not professional or want to increase the price.

For some new products, you can inquire about the use of customers, and recommend more appropriate materials or processing schemes to customers with your own expertise. For example, if some dimensions or shapes with less strict requirements can be changed, stamping scrap may be reduced to reduce costs.

2、 We must learn to choose

Some salesmen, regardless of the situation of the other party, will seriously quote when facing the inquiry. In fact, after receiving the inquiry, we must first distinguish whether this is a real customer, so as to avoid wasting our precious time on peers or boring people.

In fact, this is also relatively easy to distinguish, mainly through the following points to distinguish whether it is a real customer:

1. Ask the company name of the other party.

If the other party does not tell you the company name, you must pay attention to this inquiry. There is a high probability that peer inquiry will not disclose the company name.

2. Look at the drawing.

If the drawing is very unprofessional, and the most basic tolerance grade, material requirements, drawing number, etc. are not marked, it is more likely to be unreliable.

3. See how much you care about the factory

Real customers are more concerned about the actual situation of the factory, such as how many punches are there, whether they can process stamping dies independently, whether they can perform surface treatment, etc. Those who let you go to the factory instead of inspecting the factory must be carefully distinguished.

There are also many customers who inquire about the price, just want to see your quotation, and then use your price as a reference to ask more prices. For such customers, no matter what price they quote, it is very difficult to clinch a deal. For this kind of customer, the friend who suggested to be a stamping factory said: I'm sorry, but I don't think you know our products very well. Would you please ask my colleagues?

3、 Reasonable fuzzy quotation.

Quotation is also a kind of business information of the company, which is sometimes used by peers. Therefore, the salesperson must be flexible when quoting. Although the quotation must be accurate, reasonable ambiguity is also necessary. Fuzzy quotation is mainly used to leave room for customers to bargain in the future. In the end, if the customer haggles, you won't do it at all, but will let the customer plan. Of course, we must master the standard of vague quotation, otherwise the price is too high, which will make the subsequent negotiation impossible.

4、 The quotation must be on time.

Because the hardware stamping parts are relatively complex, the quotation needs the comprehensive calculation of the mold master and the stamping master, which makes the quotation take a certain time. However, we must promise the customer the quotation time. If the price is not calculated when the time comes, we also need to inform the customer in advance.
